Receipt Keeper (“the app”) is developed and operated by Stellar Point Pty Ltd (“we”, “us”). This page explains what information we collect from people who use the app, why we collect it, and how it is handled.

Information we collect

This app follows a privacy by design model. We practice data minimisation, meaning we only request and store the data essential to running the app. If a data point isn’t required to provide you with a great experience, we don’t collect it. Period.

• Account information from Google Sign-In: when you sign in, Google shares your email address and a unique Google account identifier with us. We use this to create and recognize your account. We never see or store your Google password, and we do not collect your name from Google.
• Display name (optional): you may set a display name for yourself within the app, shown to the other members of your household. This is entered by you, not sourced from Google, and can be changed at any time.
• Household information: the household name, and which household you belong to, so shared data can be scoped to the right group of people.
• Receipt data you enter: amounts, descriptions, categories, and dates for receipts you or another household member add. This is the core content of the app.

We do not collect location data, contacts, photos, or any device data beyond what is needed to operate the app, and we do not use analytics or advertising trackers.

How we use this information

Solely to provide the app’s functionality: authenticating you, showing you and your household’s receipts and categories, and computing weekly spending summaries. We do not sell your information or use it for advertising.

Sharing

Receipt and household data is visible only to members of your household. We do not share your information with third parties, except:

• Google, solely to authenticate your sign-in.
• Our infrastructure provider (Microsoft Azure), which hosts the database and servers that store and process this data on our behalf.

Data retention and deletion

We retain your account and household data for as long as your account exists. To request deletion of your account and associated data, contact us using the details below.

Children’s privacy

Receipt Keeper is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page.
